c est ma Posted July 10, 2007 Share Posted July 10, 2007 Very nice sequence and I love your photo "technique"--it resembles mine! And I, too, always have a camera to hand... Isn't it interesting how often a hermit will try on a new shell and then go back to the old shell again? I remember learning long ago that a hermit had a very strict sequence of movements when changing shells, something like 11 steps all together, and that if he was interrupted anywhere in the sequence he had to go back to step 1 again and start all over. Don't know if this applied to all or just to certain spp... For all the years I've been watching my saltwater hc's, I don't remember ever catching them changing shells! I used to see it frequently with my terrestrial hc's, though. Great vignette! --Diane Link to comment
