stingythingy45
Is it normal for them to jam their shells in a crevice and just sit there? I swear sometimes it even gets stuck for a while. What would these creature do without us to save them in the wild. Link to comment

brettamey
I have given up on hermit crabs. My blue legs began slowly killing each other off, so they ended up in a friends octopus tank, leaving me with two scarlets. One got himself stuck way in the back of all my rockwork and died. The other moved from a shell the size of a dime right on up to a shell bigger than a half dollar, and promtly began plawing over everything in the tank. So he went back to the store. I now just have Nass. snails and a conch to clean things up. My general thought on hermits is that they are pretty much doofuses and troublemakers. Link to comment
c est ma
My scarlet is very hardy--I've had him for maybe 2 years now. He does get slower and reclusive when molting, of course. Cute pic, drgndrums! --Diane Link to comment
