Leather help?

I bought a leather coral yesterday, I acclimated it for two hours dripping into the bag. It was closed up all day yesterday, But this morning when I woke up it was fully open(only the actnics where on), The same way it was in the store, but now it it is sliming and only partly open .I've read that sliming is normal But I just want reassurance. All water params are fine Im using a 13W actnic for 1/2 hour prior to and 1/2 hour after the main lights. The main lights are 32W 50/50 smartlamp. The leather is about six inches from the top of the tank. The only other coral is a small( less than the size of a quater) ricordea. Any ideas?
