yardboy
I wondered why people would even ask such a crazy question as a 150W bulb in a 250W ballast, but of course we do it all the time with incandescents. Duh. Too bad. So what will you buy, a new bulb, or a new ballast! Link to comment

Duh.Too bad. So what will you buy, a new bulb, or a new ballast! Well just got a new fixture, 1x 250W DE MH, 2X65W actinic and 4x lunar lights. In the process of acclimation, I made it hanging from the ceiling rather than using the supplied stand. Link to comment
yardboy
Good move. Acclimation kills more coral than most other problems, i think. Link to comment
