Seth
Hi, Today I went to the LFS and saw a nicely setup tank. The tank was drilled in the back but also had an inner overflow box. I'm planning to redo my tank and was thinking if the inner overflow box was neccessary. Is it there only to keep the water level high? I hope I didn't make this too confusing to understand Thanks Link to comment

Christopher Marks
The purpose of the overflow box is to keep the water level high, and provide for surface skimming. Link to comment
