Sure, it probably doesn't deserve its own thread, but what the hay.

I've had this guy for about three weeks, totally not shy at all.

 

 

It this at all common?

Don't know! Interesting, for sure. I've seen them in green (duh), brown, gray...but not blue. Quite the variable crab though. I suspect sometimes we're dealing with different spp of Mithrax.

I have one of those... pretty cool crab and yes they are common.

 

Mine only bothered some GSP the first week I had him. I chased it around my tank with a stick and we came to an understanding. He hasn't bothered anything since.

 

I'm glad he was quicker then my stick... I enjoy watching him in my tank.
