filter?

i am curently setting up an AGA 5.5 gallon tank. It has been running for about a week and a half. I have 4lbs of LR. and 2" of live sand. Now i have a small Duetto 50 filter in my tank. I was wondering if this would be a good enough filter for my reef (after i set it up) because it provides good water mavement, and it filters my water.

the duetto's ok but it's a pita to change filter media. the retaining cup really needs to be pried apart each time you change the filter.

 

imo any hob would be a better choice. a hob gives you easier access to the media, more choices of media, less clutter inside the tank, a means to break the water surface tension, higher flow rate, and less chance of failure (you never need to stop the hob to change a filter).
