FishyPoo
Any idea what this is on my rock? It is pink and about the size of a pea. I've seen two on the rock. It is firm to the touch. Could it be some sort of coral? Thanks... Link to comment
FishyPoo
Really? I thought coralline algae was more smooth. I have coralline algae in other spots but it doesn't protrude like that. Huh....learn something new every day. Thanks! Link to comment
Acoustic
I was also thinking that it might be encrusting green star polyps. They look almost identical to each other. Link to comment
Xavier
possibly... until it eats your fish, I say keep it Link to comment
FishyPoo
Ha ha ha...I'm sure it won't eat my fish. Bozo is safe. I'll keep the rock:D Acoustic, you think it's corelline that covered a green star polyp? Really? I don't know....It is an unusual shape. Does anyone else have corelline algae like this? reefphreak
It's just some form of algae. My tank has has those for 6 months now and thats all it is. I would love to think it was green star polyps but it's not. Sorry to shoot your green star polyps hopes down. Phreak Link to comment
