Clownfish and mouth problem

I know that clownfish can get mouth infections and other problems, but Ive never actually seen it. My clownfish has been swimming with his mouth fully open for a couple days now. He is still eating and swimming fine but his mouth doesnt look so good. What would be the best approach to get rid of this problem? I was thinking of either garlic or a freshwater dip. First I would like to try the garlic. How do I go about preparing it? Any other helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

Poor fishie! You might wat to try some Melafix to see if that clears it up. It says on the side of my Melafix box that it "stops mouth fungus, heals open wounds and ulcers" I haven't had to use it yet, but I've heard others say it's a great product. Also, Kent makes a product called Garlic Extreme. HTH
