~_~
It seems my Alveopora is dying now, :*( Theres a section on one side that is bald and a few polyps there have detached & have almost fallen off as well. It's about 6-7 inches away from my 2x55 pc lights in a lower flow area, but it was subjected to some higher flows for a few days I think (not that high really) & my tank seems to clean lately as well. It was golfball sized frag & was so it was only like $5, so I thought I would try to keep one. It was doing fine for the first 3 months and extended its polyps about 2-3 inches. zzz Here's some readings, but I doubt this had anything to do with anything SG 1.025 temp 82/83 ammonia/trite/trate 0 calcium ~420+ alk 4 meq/l Link to comment
chvynva916
Sounds like a typical alveopora life in a nano. But hey, $5. Can't go too wrong. Link to comment
tinyreef
anything else in the tank? are the polyps rotting off or pinching off? any recent changes? PO4? what are you dosing and what frequency? how old are the lights and what spectrums? skimmer? just wondering. you could answer all of the above and we could still be scratching our heads. ??? gonios, alveos, and girlfriends are definitely difficult upkeeps.
