t0mmyb0y
does anyone have experience with these snails? here's the descripton from a site that sells them: ***The Tegula snail is brown to black in color and grows to 1/2 to 3/4 inch long and is found in tropical to temperate oceans. This snail is not carnivorous and consumes encrusted algae of all kinds. The diurnal behavior of Tegula is typical to other algae eating marine snails in that it grazes at night and hides from its predators during the day. Our experience with this snail has been that it is as good at eating algae from aquarium tank sides as anything we have ever seen. We recently put 12 Tegula in a ten gallon aquarium that was so encrusted with brown diatom algae that we could not see into the tank. After three days the 12 Tegula had completely cleaned the entire tank.*** thanks yall... Link to comment

seahorsedreams
These snails are inappropriate for our warm water tanks. They slowly cook... over weeks or months. Link to comment
