Sponge Killer your minerals?

Well made a good find, not cleaning out my remora skimmer. The past two months I have had problems with my cody staying small but still healthy etc.. My cal and mineral levels where alway down. So I Pulled off my skimmer and opened it up from top, dumped out all water to find some big sponge growth size of golfballs. just filtering my water return from skimmer. Strange I say! Cleaned it all out and skimmer is working beter than ever. So if you have a skimmer with a dark cover housing might want to give a good look inside to see whats lerking in the depths of your systems. all is normal again!

heh lol ive had limpets, crabs, starfish and brittlestars in my skimmer
