JTrigger
Just trying to do some research before I decide to purchase a wrasse later this summer and was wondering which might be good and why? Of some of the ones I was considering: Lunar Moon Flasher X-mas Fivestripe Any ideas would be appreciated!! Link to comment
cal3v
How big of a tank? Lunars get big and are quite agressive, the moons about the same size but less agressive. Not sure what the fivestripe is, but the x-mas is a nice medium sized wrasse, sometimes reef safe except for snails and hermits. The flasher wrasses by far is the most reef safe one, not harming snails or hermit crabs. They are nice to keep in a harem for the male to "flash" and display to the females. Link to comment
JTrigger
Actually I don't have the tank setup yet, but it's for an anticipated 72 bowfront... and reef safety is big... I really like the stripes on the 5-stripe and X-mas as well as lunare... but if lunare is that aggressive than scratch it... what about the psychedelic wrasse? Link to comment
Satchmo
Fairy and Carpenter Wrasses are both reef safe. If you don't mind blowing a wad on a single fish, my favorite is Scott's Velvet Wrasse: Link to comment
