peterk
hi, i bought a piece of rock with yellow polyp and zoos on it. this morning when i turned on the lights i saw several worms clawing around the rock, and they all seemed to have a hidding place inside the rock. i have thought about putting the rock into some fresh water to drive them out, but then i was afraid if that would hurt the zoos and polyp. first of all - are they harmful? and if so, any suggestion please? thank you very much. peter Link to comment
Crakeur
probably bristle worms. They are a good addition to the reef as they will eat dead and dying matter. Leave em be. Link to comment
chufa
Yes, i have several of those. They can get quite long. They can sting you if you touch them. They are the only things I have seen that consume fish/snail poop. Link to comment
duckhuntboy
if they're purple or blue or orange, and have tiny cilia on both sides, then crak's right.... They're A.O.K. Link to comment
