Uhuru
My beloved hermit crab molted today. At first I thought he had died but then I saw him hiding under some rock, it was just his "skin." Should I fish it out (it's kind of in a pain in the ass spot)? I'm sure in a large tank someone probably wouldn't even notice but maybe in a 5 gal. it could cause pollution? Link to comment
c est ma
Ah, the wonderful world of arthropods! I have two hermits, an emerald, and a pom-pom in my 5.5g. I have fished out one emerald & one pom-pom shed over the years, only because they were +/- perfectly intact and I wanted to preserve them in alcohol. Otherwise I ignore all the molts...they eventually disappear. I figure the calcium gets "recycled." --Diane Link to comment
