Fuge for Eclipse 1 Hood

Hey all,

I was thinking of making the filter portion of my Eclipse 1 Hood into a refugium. Any suggestions as to how I should approach this project? Thanks all.

I've been thinking about the same thing for a while.

I figure you need to put in an acrylic barrier at the end, one that will make the water flow over and down into the Bio wheel cubby, and then create a compartment in the hood istelf to shine down into the fuge/filter. That's the hard part though, in my mind. I'd want to run the fuge light on oppposite cycle as the main light so you'd need some method of sealing off the fuge light from the rest of the tank, while still making it possible to open and close the hood wihtout the filter/fuge.

I also took out my bio wheel, so i was thinking of breaking down the barrier into the biowheel spot and sealing it up to expand hte size of the fuge, then creating an overflow out into the tank.

but then again, maybe i'll just leave it the way it is :)
