anemones losing tentacles

i have these 3 flower anemones that ive had since i started my tank about 6 months ago. they have been growing and doing fine, but when i upgraded my lighting recently, they looked all irritated and i had to move them around into darker areas and whatnot. well they are opening up and coming into the light now, but with one very strange difference, their tentacles are all gone, there are tiny nubs where they used to be. also they seem to have lost their nematocysts or whatever as they wont take food when i give it to them anymore. i thought anemones were just supposed to shed some zoanthela and move on with their lives when they get higher lighting, whats the deal with this, will they grow their tentacles back?
