Mini Cold Cathode Lighting

Has anyone heard of using Mini Cold Cathode Lighting for moonlighting a nano check out this Link

They say they are bright but I wonder how much heat they produce I'm sure its no more than my PC's....

Cold cathode tubes don't have enough photosynthetic active radiation to be used on reef tanks. Atleast that was the conclusion when this topic came up on reef central about 6 or 7 months ago.

the "inverter" gets very warm.

I have some cold cathode lighting in my pc... 12" strip and it seems to be alot brighter then any lcd bulb on the market??? When its on it brightens up my whole room.
