Nolbi-Wan Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 ive been wanting a mantis but really can only make room for a 3G picotop. is it possible to keep a mantis in a 3 gallon? if so what kinda mantis would be ok for a pico. any help is appreciated. thanks Link to comment
Idesone Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 I prefer to keep a mantis in no less than a 5 gallon set-up, depending on species. I keep an H. stoliura in a 6 gallon nanocube. You can also keep a N. wennerae in a smaller tank. Check out the link I've put below. It's Dr. Roys list. It will tell you all kinds of nice information about Stomatopods. mattyice Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 5.5 AGA is the smallest tank i would go unless they are EXTREMELY tiny, less then 1" actually, and any other species is just suffering in a small tank like that, remember the tank sizes on Dr. Roy's ID website are the absolutle minimum Link to comment
