Pepermint Shrimp Molted or died I'm not sure

Last night my pepermint shrimp was fine, then today around 1:00 i noticed just what appeared to be a clear shell, with legs, antenai. Do they molt that quickley?

Also I have heard that they spend a couple of days hiding until their shell hardens up again, is that true?

Yes they can molt that quick, and yes it is true that they tend to spend time hiding in the rocks while their new shell hardens because this is the time they are most vulnerable. My shrimp scared the heck out of me the first time it molted!
