SeaFish Posted April 14, 2003 Share Posted April 14, 2003 what is going on??????? this morning i tested water here are the result: Mg=1380ppm Alk=10.88 Ca=480 because i felt my Mg was kind of low i added 10ml more of liquid Mg to try to get it up to 1400ppm. this afternoon (about 6 hours later) i tested my water again. Mg=1335 Alk=7.04 Ca=500. its been like this since i started adding Mg. i use salifert for all my test. what is going on with my water? is this noraml?? Report Link to comment
Physh1 Posted April 14, 2003 Share Posted April 14, 2003 Your magnesium is cool IMO.....if you dosed like that today and your alk dropped I'd say your mag test may be reading incorrectly. If it's reading wrong and your mg is higher than the test reads it could destabilize you ca/alk values. Anything above 1200 for mag is adequate....i'd tried to use a different mag test to verify your number. Cameron Link to comment
