BigReefer
Hey guys, i was just wondering... Once polyps settle in and open up, do they close up when the lights go off, or do they usually stay open at all times and just close when threatened?? Thanks! Link to comment
coralreefengr
Ummm...at the risk of giving a dumb answer... Did you try looking at them after the lights went out??? Maybe I don't understand what you are asking. At any rate, mine typically close. I wouldn't be worried unless they don't open up when the lights come on. Link to comment
jdsabin1
Mine close at night. I did a 20% WC yesterday and they closed then also. Takes them a good 30 mins to open up in the morning but if undisturbed they stay open through my light cycle. HTH Jeff Link to comment

I had just received them (my first live coral) and they were closed... it was near lights out and was just wondering if it was normal to close up at night... Link to comment
coralreefengr
Ahhhh...good to know it is your first coral and that you added it near lights out. That makes more sense. Link to comment
