Is this light going to be ok for my 5.5 gallon nano?

Thats the one from homedepot or lowes right? Outside walkway light or somthing like that? I dont think you can get a bulb of the right spectrum for that fixture thoough? I have never seen one with the bulb's mounted in an octogon shape before?

Yeah from Home Depot for 29.99. I'll be taking it back tomorrow.

 

What would you suggest for my 5.5 then?

That's the LOA 65 watt outdoor light. The bulb is supposed to be 6500K, which will look very yellow without Actinic supplementation.

I'm using their 13 watters (bright kit) on my 5.5, three of them, the forth I used on something else. I've been very happy with them.

 

Many people are using 2 of the "bookworm" style lights from Lowes.
