rickjg
I picked up a Peppermint shrimp a couple of weeks ago to eat some aiptasia that was popping up in my NC6. The shrimp ate all the aiptasia and apparently started in on the hammer coral, but it dropped dead in mid meal. You can see just to the left of the shrimp where the hammer has been browsed on. The shrimp was eating fish food when I fed the clown, but apparently it was not satisfied. Link to comment
Dr.Fumanchu
My Peppermint just destroyed and ate a new purple tip Hammer coral frag. I hope the bastid dies! Link to comment
nYgel
is this common for them to go for hammers? mine leaves my frogspawn alone but im getting a hammer soon, do you think it'll go for it? Link to comment
moe sizlack
I once watched a cleaner shrimp instantly die after perching on my hammer. It was like he was going into epileptic shock, then... lights out. Link to comment
rickjg
The hammer was sending out sweepers to sting the shrooms, you can see the white burnt edges on some of the shrooms, so maybe the shrimp ate a sweeper or was stung by a sweeper, leading to it’s untimely death. Link to comment
HammyDavisJr
I might have to get a hammer coral. My peppermint is a jerk and I hate his stupid face! Seriously, he steals food from my skunk cleaner, swims up to my true perc and bugs him while he's trying to sleep. I'm going to punch him into the sun! he does eat a lot of crap in my tank though...dang! Link to comment
