oldtimer Posted July 16, 2004 Share Posted July 16, 2004 My four-stripe damsel lived 5 years in a 5 gal hex. Died of old age. A rigorous maintenance schedule is required. A 3 gal would support a Springer's dottyback which is 1.6 inches full grown and very slim. One would fine in a 3 gal. Does not bother corals and is too small to eat most decorative shrimp. Good luck!
