shalegac
I am making a FOLWR system in my now defunct 10 gallon. I am planing on putting a valentini puffer in the tank and was wondering what other livestock could go in it? Link to comment
MKramer
Since Valentini's get over 4", I'd say they're wrong for a 10g on size basis alone. As for other livestock with on, they'll eat any shrimp or crabs you throw in there. And there's a good chance they'll harass smaller fish, doing considerable fin damage. And any fish that decide to harass them has a good chance of poisoning from the toxins in the puffer's skin. To top it off, like all puffers, they're messy eaters and leave lots of uneaten food in the water, polluting the tank. In my opinion, they're a nice stand-along species, but I wouldn't make a small community tank out of them. Link to comment
