How are clams aquacultured?

Is there a site somewhere that explains how clams are aquacultured? I heard something about having to "infect" them with zooxanthalle under lab conditions...seems pretty interesting.

If youre really interested in tridacnid clams theres a book called 'Giant Clams' by Daniel Knop...pick it up. Great book. It has a chapter on captive propogation.

maybe steve tyree could answer some questions. i thought he had a book or booklet on raising clams himself. maybe he's still working on it, like dave's working on his book.
