Just order Lr from Premium Aquatics and was most unpleased. I ordered the premium LR . What I recieved was very bleached pieces of garbage.

They admit to not getting the best rock these days, but still sell as primium rock.

Very unhappy. A pic to follow and the Email I got back from them explaining what is happenig to fiji LR.

"Sorry to hear you are not happy with the rock. That is our premium fiji, but

we have been fighting with Fiji collectors all year on the quality of the

rock. FIji has taken a big dive in quality, it's loosing most it's coralline

algae either in fiji or the flight over. We have not been real happy with

the quality for 3 months and we have tried every importer available and all

have the same kind of rock as you received."

thanks"

We pretty much told them if they

ship us this same rock again we won't buy fiji anymore and they promised to

hand pick out shipment from Fiji and mark it so when it gets to LAX they'll

sort our boxes before everyone elses. So i'm hoping we'll get some nice

stuff. If it comes in the same, then i would recommend branch or marshall

rock. I think Fiji might just be done on collecting, over mined etc.

another shot of the bleached rock.

there web site states:

NOTE: We cure our rock in 600gallon pools with halide lights and large skimmers, it's an almost zero ammonia enviroment. This is almost impossible to do in a small tank or trash can, so basiclaly we can do this job much better then the average aquarist. We get premium raw plant rock and cure. You will get as good if not better rock buying our cured then trying tranship rock at the going 2.25 a pound price. We charge per pound on the rock, when you buy rock from us, you get actual weight. We use a Legal For Trade scale and give you the rock weight you ordered, plus the box.

Kind of hard to cure it when you are shipping it out from LA the next day...
