Hi All,

I have built up the courage and im going to concentrate most of my effort on designing and maintaining a pico. I would like as much info as possible on these facinating tanks.

I understand that there is plenty of info already on this site and im going to read through as much as i possibly can but would like to hear from you all first.

I would like to know what sort of heaters you guys use? how you produce water movement in such a small volume of water? lighting? what corals can be kept? SPS maybe! Also apart from water fluctuations what other problems have i got to face?

Also would like to hear of any mods you wished you had of done on your current tank to make it that bit better.

Thanks in advance. :D

heat- just the physically smallest heater at lfs, 50 watts (l have a 2.5g)

light- l have two 20 watt coralife 50/50 screw in's and a 14 watt 6500K screw in

in a pico the salinity can fluctuate greatly; daily top off is a must.

an nice hob will provide plenty of flow and possibly enough room to consider making it a fuge.
