Leather coral

I purchased a leather coral about 2 weeks ago. When I put him in the tank it took about 2 days for him to go from limp and grey to being full and plump pink with his polyps fully extended. He has been doing great, but as of last Monday night he went back grey and limp and hasn't opened with a waxy coating developing on him. I have talked to other members on this site and they say he is just cleansing himself of dirt. Shouldn't his bath be over by now? All of my water parameters (temp.,SG, trates and trites) are fine. I do weekly water changes too. All of my other corals are fine. The leather is of the genus Sarcophyton. Anybody else have any ideas?

Thanks, that is what I have been told. They are shedding algae buildup I hear. Finnicky little sapsucker, these leathers!
