Sahin
Can somebody please ID this species os brittle starfish for me please. He's pretty cool, and I was told by the LFS he is reef safe. Thanks. Link to comment
Satchmo
I have a very similar looking star in my 46 sold as a serpent star. If you need a more specific ID than that, I'm definitely not your guy. Reef safe though, and a hoot to watch eat. Link to comment
The Unit
yea i have seen them at my LFS...they say they r reaf safe...reminds me of a green star i had to get rid of last month...this was approching 20 inches and ate feeder fish 2 times a week...AWSOME star but was just to big and i wanted some smaller community fish but they would have been a midnight snack...... OscarBeast
If I am not mistaken, there are so many different types of these stars, that there really isn't a good way to get a positive ID without an inspection of the mouth parts. It believe it might even take cutting it up to tell for sure. Link to comment
