SaVeThEeELs Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 ok...after playing with lots of air.... i found that if you want to cultivate pods on a larger scale than a fuge can make em you need a special tank for it..... 5 or 10 gal tank w/ UGF air pump ceramic air stones no gravel, but if you want a little in there, why not....... only add air to one side of the UGF....you want real gentle flow.......almost none... now as long as the water is moving, and you got rock in the tank, they will start breeding like crazy! be sure to feed the tank....nothing special....flake is fine... pods will survive low tank tempatures.....mine are thriving at around 60 so a heater is not real necessary..... now harvensting them is your own problem! about the only way to get em out is w/ a syphon... be sure to aclimate them to your target tank, b/c if they are from a low tempature tank, adding them to your warmer tank too fast might kill em all.....
