shiveley
I've had a medium sized Scarlet Hermit crab in my tank for a couple of weeks now, and he seems really inactive. He's been on my live rock a couple of times, but mostly seems to just sit in the bottom corner of my tank. He just sits there....Idoing nothing. I tried feeding him a couple of days ago, and he did pick at the food for a while, but then promptly returned to his spot. He did molt a on Monday, but other than that he's in the same place, doing the same thing...nothing. Is something wrong with him? Maybe he's meditating on the meaning of life, and the vastness of the universe...i don't know...but i'm beginning to get concerned about his lack of activity. any suggestions would be appreciated. maybe I should trying to build him a mini-treadmill to get him motivated... Helfrichs Chick
Since he is molting make sure you have extra shells for him. Also how long did you acclimate? Link to comment
cooksalot
scarlett hermits seem to be lazy...at least mine are. they'll be active for a brief period and then go back to sunbathing on the rocks. Link to comment
