ace33
i am persuading my nan to set up a 90 gallon FOWLR tank in her new house, the tank i am looking at is the 'Juwel Trigon 350' which i believe is just over 90 US gallons. i am thinking of using around 50-60lbs of sand and 20kg of base rock and 20kg of liverock. fish wise i was thinking about a: - school of chromis (Chromis viridis) (5-10? unsure of exact number) - pair of false percula clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) - Longfin Bannerfish (Heniochus acuminatus) (i think 3 would look good if tank and species allows?) - maybe a madarin dragonet after the tank is fully established and matured can you see a problem with any of this? mels95yj
According to Angelfishes and Butterflyfishes, the minimum size tank for any of the bannerfishes is 100g. I would venture a guess that 3 in a 90g would be too much. JMO You could try a Raccoon Butterflyfish or maybe a Auriga (Threadfin). I'm in the planning stages of setting up a 125g or 150g FOWLR to keep one of these and a few other fishes. Good luck! Mel Link to comment

Withers
Mixing mandarins with butterflyfish is generally a bad idea, they both eat pods. Link to comment
