my clownfish is going to die....... help!

I don't know what to do for him. But, he looks like hell. I checked the water, and everything looks good, the nitrates might be a tad high at 5 ppm. But, everything is else is good. I haven't been able to get him to eat much, maybe he's starving. I've been feeding him frozen brine shrimp, and he's eaten some but not much. He's swimming near the top of the tank, in one direction. His scales look kinda dried out and shedding almost. I got him 4 days ago along with his tank mate (clown too), who died the next day with similar symptoms. These are the only inhabitants besides the star, who is doing fine these days. Any clues, hints, suggestions?

Thanks..... looks like the reef flag will be lowered, and I'll have to play taps again.

Sounds like a gonner, I would check with your fish source to look for possible answers.

5 ppm nitrates is nothing to worry about, especially for a fish.

I saw the same thing at Petco on all the fish. My immediate assesment of them were:

Under fed and over stressed.

Each one compliments itself.
