frag tank question

what the bare minium for the tank, im currently working on my 40 gallon project, an my current 15gallon tank was in the care of my mom n sisters, while i was upnorth.

anyways it had a mad HA and Cyano outbreak, as somehow all 3 feed the tank at different times, an they somehow again, messed up my timer by getting it wet. it let my lights on roughly the whole time i was gone. 3 days.

 

now the "frag" tank as i call it will be 2x65watt pcs, standard 15 gallon, eggcreate structure an some chaeto is there anything i need? besides flow n heat? like if i dont add rock/sand i dont need to wait right.

 

this is also to house the new pieces (from reefers tearing down there tanks) i get while waiting on the 40 to get more parts in

Should have AT LEAST some live rock rubble in your filter or something. Live rock rubble will house many beneficial bacteria. Sand may not be such a bad idea either. It will be easier to clean algea off of then trying to scrap the glass bottom IMO
