FishyGayle
I've had some really bad luck the last couple of days. 2 clowns. Yesterday, the first casualty. I picked up the live rock and found half a clown fish in the lair of my Sally lightfoot crab. The crab was REALLY big. I took him to my LFS instead of flushing him. Now this morning, the other clown fish is dead. My water parameters are all right on target. I can't believe Ammonia didn't go up. The little guy is really close to the lair of the brittle star. Is it possible for the brittle star to kill the clown? Or maybe he was already injured from the crab....or....can a clown die of a broken heart? I'm gonna wait to get any more fish for a week or so. All corals are doing well. Bubble coral is huge, Sun Coral are all opening nicely, polyps are all open....ho ho hum...poor little clownies... Link to comment
sleepy
how large is the star? Brittle stars tend to leap onto fish while they are sleeping. Link to comment
