Satchmo
I took a peek into my 46 last night and managed to catch a really wild event. A blue reef chromis was on his way out for some reason, swimming (rather, trying to swim) along the sand bed. Along came a blue-leg and snagged him. Within minutes, this poor sucker was being eaten alive by a swarming mass of crabs, Nass snails, and shrimp. They picked the thing down to bones. A serpent star must have heard news of what was going on, because out he came to grab his piece of the action. He kept making a go at the fish, only to be driven away by the frenzied crabs. When all was said and done, there wasn't a trace of the fish to be found. I could film a show for the Discovery Channel in my living room. God I love this stuff. Link to comment
lizbeth
Why the heck didn't you whip the viedo camera out? I tell you those hermits are very good at what they do. Reef roaches. Or would that be ants? Link to comment
Satchmo
Sorry, the video camera is permanantly mounted on the bedroom wall. Link to comment
mattdog
And I don't know if anyone specifically asked for video of the hermits. Link to comment
