schrader
I would like to buy a clam at the LFS,but here is the problem. The store has a FLATWORM problem is there a way to kill them off of the clam before putting it in my tank.I know a FW dip does the trick on corals but I dont know if this can be done with clams. Satchmo
I don't like FW dipping anything, especially inverts. If I were you, I'd look for a different source for the clam. Order it from an online dealer. You'll have a much better selection. Link to comment
printerdown01
Make sure there aren't any on the mantel. Put the clam in a bucket of salt water and brush it with a tooth brush or easier yet find another LFS with clams. Link to comment
sjpresley
FW dips really aren't good a good idea for any SW animals, and are pretty damaging to most all inverts. Do you have any natural predators that may take care of the flatworms? Like a wrasse? Link to comment
