SmartaZaWhiP
Hello all, I just got a 30 hex for $25 bucks. I was wondering if the surface area of this tank would be enough for a macro-nano reef setup if I changed the lights to a 32w PC? Because of the depth of the tank, do you think I should use another source of lighting>>? Thanks for your help! Link to comment
technoshaman
Hex tanks are hard to light effectively for reefs. Honestly a halide pendant is the best way to get the kind of penetration and coverage you need on them. With just PC's you could still keep some soft corals, shrooms and zoos though they may need to be toward upper end of tank. Link to comment

OscarBeast
Would be a good seahorse tank if you wanted to dedicate some serious time and care in the hobby. Link to comment
