Caesar
I have a 20g long tank and I want to get a Galaxy Coral. How hard is it to keep one of these in a Nano? Link to comment
Crakeur
Hail Caesar (sorry, been dying to say that). I wouldn't do it. Their sweepers are real long. If you do keep one, you will have to give it plenty of room. I have heard that 6 months is a long time for them to live in captivity. Just what I heard and I thought I'd pass it along. Satchmo
Agreed. They're generally considered one of the worst corals for nanos. Link to comment
Bucket o Chum
Galaxea sp. have pretty long sweeper tentacles and in a 20g with other corals it will sting them if they are close enough. Link to comment
Caesar
Ok I guess I'll have to find something else. What about a frogspawn. I thought they were similar to Galaxy but I see a few other members who have frogspawn so maybe a frogspawn is easier to keep. Link to comment
Satchmo
Frogs can pack a punch too, but not like galaxia can. Just keep it small and give it space. I've never had a problem with mine. Link to comment
Sarnack
I have one in my 16 gallon cube and it is doing great. I have had it for several months (5 or so I think) and it is showing growth. It was a 3 inch ball shaped frag from a very established tank. I don't have it close enough to anything else to have to worry about the sweepers. I have only seen the sweepers about 3 inches long. Sprung gives it a 7 out of 10 on aggressiveness and hardiness... It is by far my fav in my tank. Link to comment
