coraln'fish
Alright, I've had my green bubble tip anemone for about two months, my aquarium has been set up for almost five. My anemone has not fully developed it's bubbles in it's tentacles, I feed it at least once a week with silversides, and I have metal hallide lighting. I plan on getting a hood with actinic, compact flourescent or T-5 lighting, and metal hallide. Is this because I only have metal hallide or is there something else? Thanks. Ryan Link to comment

kronk
It is not uncommon for btas to lose their bubbles in aquariums. Mine lost its bubbles within 2 months but it kept growing and growing and now its at more than 12" across when its fully opened Link to comment
bigbabich
My BTA is 3 months old. It has lost it's bubbles. Sort of. I feed it twice a week. It has quadrupled in size. Literally. It bubbles up sort of when I turn off the whites. Under actinic, its tentacles plump up much more than with lights. But don't really bubble. I have PC's and was worried about this. I put it on a nice chunk of sand about 1/2 way up. It has retreated every time to all the way at the bottom. It likes light, but not as much as I was told. I think it's perfectly healthy. If it gets any healthier I'll be missing my cat. but no bubbles. Good luck. Link to comment
