rubadakis
Will a pepermint shrimp be fine on just algae and other things in my tank for 3 weeks without me feeding him? Three weeks!!!! It depends on the size of your tank. What about water changes? I am almost certain that he won't make it. Get someone to help you. Link to comment
icenine
Will a pepermint shrimp be fine on just algae and other things in my tank for 3 weeks without me feeding him? I don't think it's eating any algae anyway. I was under the impression they were a carnivore. ...at least that's why I had to get rid of mine. Link to comment

jimmy595
Well people that call their pet camel shrimp a peppermint shrimp will have their corals nipped at. Peppermint shrimp are carnivores, Ive had mine pick aptasias from amongst a colony of zoos without hurting 1 zoa. Maybe you could give it one of those time release feeders, they make em for up to 2 weeks. Link to comment

Dr.Fumanchu
Peppermints require meaty food, they do nip at some corals. In my tank it was my ricordia. At feeding time they come out and act like pigs, stealing food from corals and polyps. Link to comment
