peterk
Hello...! Does any of you know under normal circumstances, how much fresh water should be added to a 5.5 G tank to top it off? Is one small (white foam) cup per day too much? How about once every two days? A week? Thanks a lot! Peter Link to comment
Satchmo
Are you joking? Add as much as you need to fill the tank back up. No one can tell you how much water evaporates from your tank but you. I nominate thee for Dumb Question of The Week. Link to comment
freakaccident
I second the nomination! I use 5 gallons a week in my 10g. I have a friend with a 65g that uses 4 gallons a week. You will have to figure it out. Link to comment
peterk
Hehe.....sorry if my question sounds too trivial... I am just trying to build some kind of self-topping-off mechanism, and was just wondering a rough estimate on the amount of water evaporation on a typical 5.5 g under normal circumstances. Anyway - what I will do is to log the water evaporation rate and figure it out that way. Thanks guys. Peter Link to comment
