Recommended Posts

I wanted to share a FTS with the group that got me started with reef 2 years ago.

I started out with a 2.5g to a 10g to a 90 gallon.

This tank has gone from 100% leather to Zoanthid garden, to Mix Reef.

Right now I have mostly SPS with a few zoas colony and Acans. I have gone thru a few different fish trying to find something that I really like.

Current livestock.

The sun coral has been under my care for 9 month. When my friend gave it to me it was a dying single polyp. Now it has sprouted 5 new polyps. The red one I received 2 month ago and it was the size of my pinky nail. It is much bigger now.

there's no reason to get rid of the mandarin! feed him frozen brine/mysis soaked in garlic. he'll eat it, TRUST me. every mandarin that comes into my store is eating frozen, and sometimes pellet, before they leave it. my coworker has one that eats pellets like a pig (he had a pair, but the male was chased out by a damsel after several months).

He eats frozen mysis when I feed my lps but he is not looking too hot. I do see different type of pods after the light goes off but I think that he is not getting enough nourishment. It's stomach is starting to sink in so I prefer to give it a bigger home before it's too late.
