Baile
Ok, have had my LR in for almost 2 weeks. I am running my lights about 10hrs a day now. I am starting to get some light and dark brown algae growth on top of the rocks... Mostly where the light is hitting the rocks the most. Is this normal? Should i be concerned. Should i get someing to clean it? Only thing in the tank at the moment are 2 small red legg crabs. Thanks! Goliath
dont worry, its normal. I am getting the same damn brown algae all over my LR and sand. I am also 2 weeks into the project and its staring to get crazy. At first I was thinking it was Diatoms but it was happening on the light area which did sound like diatoms, then I though it might be Cyano or red algae but its not looking like that slimey stuff yet. Perform partial water changes to help reduce the growth. Jeremy Link to comment
Xwhite
Do you have a clean-up crew in place already? That should help to keep it under control until it goes away. Ahh I see you have a couple of hermits. Get yourself 6 snails of varying types. John Link to comment
