fishyz
Hi, I'm planning on changing my 30g fresh water tank into a nano reef. I'm wondering if a small yellow or blue tang would be okay. I was told at the LFS that I need at least a 55g, but after loking at dozens of 30g tank pictures on the internet, over half of them had tangs in them. Link to comment

ReefApprentice
No tangs. They get 7-8 inches long (yellow) and 12" long (blue) Link to comment
clifford513
to NR! In this instance, and uncharacteristically, your lfs is correct. 30g is too small for either of those tangs (in the long term). Link to comment
fishyz
thanks for your help. Maybe one day i'll do a bigger tank so I can have tangs and triggers. Link to comment
