zizmans
Should I be concerned about current? If I have a plug cable that's touching a cable for say, my PH, does that current go into the tank? How can I check this? I imagine buying the needed insrtument is $. Can you rent them? Am I being paranoid? I don't really have the "bzzz" thing, nor do I feel any current when I touch things. At first, now I think I'm placebo-effecting myself to think I feel current. Help? Link to comment
harbingerofthefish
no electrician here. But if you stick your hand in the tank and you live, currents probbaly not in there. Take off you nikes when you do this (damn rubber soles) Arew you sure it's not the PH cord vibrating against something? Mine touched part of my hood and every now and then it's makes a buzzing sound. Physh1
Your being paranoid.....there is no electrical transfer between insulated (all are) cables. Cameron Link to comment
Dave ESPI
check for cuts or rough spots in the wire jacketing. Chances are you may have some current leakage somewhere. It also could be your heater insulation. Link to comment
