Baile Posted March 20, 2003 Share Posted March 20, 2003 Can you have too much water movement? I have an eclips 12 with 2 Mini-Jet 404 PHs plus the filter that come with the eclips 12. I only have the LR and LS in the tank and waiting for it to cycle.... Any time something falls off the liverock it gets thrown around the tank pretty fast... When I go do add figh I dont want them to be thrown around like these paricals that come of the LR. Baile Link to comment
tinyreef Posted March 20, 2003 Share Posted March 20, 2003 i---can't-----hold--------on----------much-----------loooonngerrrr! or "Wanna get some coffee?" it depends on what you have in there. some fish live in turbulent areas of the reef while others like it sedate. there are also mixtures of the two (e.g. clown goby on an acro). the minijets can be toned down so as you get livestock you can determine what you need. you could also wave action them so you have alternating surges. the important thing is not to have stagnant areas imo. but it doesn't have to be roaring rapids tho.
