RaSooch
Last night I discovered that my fish had a lovely peppermint shrimp cocktail for lunch. Now I have to replace the fallen cleaner and I was wondering if I were able to to have a peppermint and a skunk cleaner in the tank together? I want to be able to keep a peppermint to avoid the apistatia anemones getting out of control, and I like to keep a skunk cleaner to help with keeping rock work clean and the added bonus of parasite control. I currently have in my 14G BC: 1 ocellerus clown 1 six line wrasse 1 sleeper banded gobie 4 zebra hermits 5 blue leg hermits 1 little red sea star 1 rose bulb anemone any suggestions are appreciated. MGXsport
I've only seen large fish allow cleaner shrimps to come close so I doubt your fish are ever going to stop into the cleaning station. Also I think if your fish ate a peppermint they will also have their way with a skunk cleaner. Link to comment
rics4me
I have kept several types of shrimp in the same tank with no problem. Both the pep and the cleaner shrimp are pretty docile. It may have been that your fish struck the peppermint when it was molting, when they are most vulnerable. Link to comment
